From The Presidents Desk
February, 2009
I would like to thank Ken Mannina for his excellent work in growing the clubs membership and having the vision to run the club more efficiently. I would also like to thank all of last year’s officers, Kathy Riccardi and Jeremy Bligh, thank you for your valuable time. Please welcome with me the new 2009 officers Robert Wilson (V.P.), John O’toole (secretary), Walt Boeninger (treasurer and webmaster), board members Neal Hasheider, Craig Bauer, Jeremy Bligh, John Cortez and Geno Brickey. Thank you in advance for your valuable time and devotion to this club and its functions.
My comfort zone is a place I like to stay in a lot. If it’s at work or at home and no this is not an ad for bed mattresses. Volunteering for president of our club has seen me venture out of my comfort zone, and I keep asking myself “what was I thinking.” No I think it might have been one of those “neo genesis chicken salads” at goodies good eats that made me do it. However, I volunteered this year so I could get a better understanding of the club and be able to improve its functionality in the future. I have never done any thing like this before, because it’s so far out of my comfort zone. This is why I have a very hard time going on extended vacations because it takes me away from what I know. I will do my best to support and represent our club and its’ members in a positive way. I will be open to any suggestions comments or concerns from all who are involved in and around our club. But I ask all of our members to ask themselves to try and go outside your own comfort zone and volunteer your time to the club. You never know; you might surprise yourself. I know I surprised myself when I volunteered and I am happy that I did.
Now on a lighter side no more “Neo Genesis Chicken Salads”!!!!!
