President’s Letter May 2010
Well if you didn’t attend the Tiffany Ford 100th Anniversary tech session, you missed a great outing. On April 10th VMOA had a tech session at Tiffany Ford. It featured Walt’s 1967 TransAm race car and Louise’s Award Winning 1968 Gold coupe. Both cars were a big hit. Both cars were on two lifts and everyone was able to look at the underside of two very clean cars. If you want to check out all of the pictures of that day at Tiffany Ford, just check out their web site at www.tiffanyford.com and click on the 100-years, this will have the whole year laid out by month and cars to be on display. On behalf of VMOA and all of our members, I presented Bob Tiffany with a Plaque to honor him and his family’s business for 100 years of service in the Hollister area.
I would also like to thank Kevin Patten for providing Performance Art in Gilroy as a meeting place the morning of the tech session. That worked out great, from his place it was a short 30 minute drive to Hollister. Looked great with 15 or so cars pulling into the Ford dealership. And I would also like to thank Kevin for his participation at the tech session. He was a very big help. I would also like to thank Walt and Louise for using your cars.
On May 1st a handful of VMOA members drove up to Antioch for the DVMA car show. We all met at golf land in Milpitas @ 6:00 am and made the trek up 680 through Concord and then up to Antioch. John O'Toole and Robert Wilson handed out flyers for our car show. I think they said somewhere around 90 flyers were placed in all the cars. We also won Club participation with 11 members.
Plus don’t forget about our club merchandise on the web site for all to view and buy. This may be a new drawing at the General meetings. Anyone wearing Club apparel will get and extra Raffle ticket !
